IMI GAL Exporter for Microsoft Exchange Server is small utility for Exchange Admin to export GAL (Global Address List) and Distribution List Content to MS Access 2000 tables.
Features: IMI GAL Exporter is a utility for MS Exchange Server. It helps administrators export global address list and distribution list content to MS Access tables. There are two other utilities, together they are the GAL exporter suite and let administrators do a complete job of exporting.
IMI GAL Exporter – GUI is the main module, IMI GAL Exporter is a console application for batch command line export and IMI Distribution List Content Export. The main module obtains information about all the mailboxes on a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.x/2000/2003/2007. remote connectivity and data filters help users select mail boxes, distribution lists, custom recipients properties from any recipient container. The container can be any in the organization tree. Once exported it is easy to get the global address list printed.
With the console application administrators are able to automate their tasks for more productivity. The console is able to export data from up to ten recipient containers. Multi value entries for phone business2 and phone home2 for MS exchange 2000/2003 and 2007 are now supported. Several custom attributes have been added; custom attribute 11 through custom attribute 15. You are able to export specific mailboxes, public folders, distribution lists and so on. There are rules you can specify to restrict export of these objects. Rules can be set up, for example, like for those objects whose "first name" field is equal to or starts with "john". Extra delimiters can be specified for multi valued fields such as "proxy addresses", "address", "phone Home 2", "Direct reports" etc. It is a pre-requisite for the software that MAPI/ADO must be present on the same machine. MDAC and ExMAPI also should be present.
Overall: Nice utility that eases work for MS Exchange administrators, easy to use too.
